The two world wars and other wars during this period are not displayed, even if they had a massive impact on the economy and transport. The historical background can be experienced without claiming to be completely realistic. The timeline, also known as chronology, can be played from 1800 and is based on the real history of Germany, for the vehicles, buildings, routes, landscape elements and industrial chains. The representation is based on typical German cities and industries. It offers the player the opportunity to set up a transport system. PAK128.german is a graphics set for the Simutrans transport simulation. Every building and factory has four views and each type of factory has different aspects. Trains and lorries are taller than they are in standard pak128. This table is saved and loaded.Brings the German transportation system embedded in typical German towns and industries according to the respective topographic region (coasts, the Alps, etc.). In order to do so, you have to keep these data in the global table persistent. Upon loading, the scenario is resumed, by calling the function resume_game. If a running scenario is saved, the information about the scenario is saved within the savegame. You do not need to restart simutrans to reload your script. You can then repair your script, and restart the scenario via New Game - Scenario. In case of error, an error window pops up showing the call stack and the values of local variables. In particular, everything that is print-ed by the script, goes into this file. If simutrans is started in addition with '-log', all the output is written to the file script.log. If simutrans is started with '-debug 2', all errors and warnings are logged to standard output (i.e. This implies for instance that all scenario texts are translated to the server's language. These are due to the fact, that the scripts are solely run on the server, the client does not need to have the script available at all. This affects the classes coord and coord3d as well as any functions that expect coordinates as input, as for instance factory_x::factory_x or rules::forbid_way_tool_rect.Ī lot of stuff is possible for network play. If a player rotates a map, then all coordinates are translated to the original rotation. See factory_x::input for an example.Īll coordinates in the script are with respect to the initial rotation of the map. If tables or arrays carry template parameters, this indicates the expected type of elements of the array or table. These are widely used throughout this documentation in the function declarations. Squirrel has some built-in data types: among them integer, string, tables, and arrays. Scenarios can also be put into the addons folder:Īddons/pak-something/scenario/myscenario/ Pak-something/scenario/myscenario/de/ <- German files go here. Pak-something/scenario/myscenario/en/ <- English files go here. If you need more complex texts, these go into sub-directories named after the language, in which they are written. Translation files go into the scenario sub-directory with the same name as your file (just without extension) Pak-something/scenario/myscenario/scenario.nut The pak-set is found in a directory named pak-something, which is in the same directory, where the program itself is located. Hence, the scenario files have to go into a sub-folder of the pak-set. This savegame is tied to the pak-set you are using (e.g. You are the ruler of this toy universe, you are in charge of the rules, which go into the script. That is, create the world in which your scenario will live. Then you have to cast this idea into a savegame. You first need an idea - a vision what a scenario may look like. See also Scenario interface and Scenario only functions. As squirrels like to crack nuts, understandably the script files get the extension '.nut'. The manual can be found at Squirrel main page. The scripts have to be written in squirrel. Simutrans offers to possibility to add scripted scenarios and computer-controlled players.

At any rate, it provides a lot of angle to choose from so it should suite most anyone’s needs. I am not sure who would benefit from a flattened out laptop screen, but I’m sure there’s someone who appreciates it. The screen has an extreme range of viewing angles, all the way back to flat on the desk. Using Tweaks I can make that change system wide in a just a few clicks, which is super helpful. Unfortunately my eyes are not great for seeing close up, so I need larger fonts to see well. The screen clarity is quite good too, but I did tweak the fonts a bit using the gnome-tweak-tool. On the other hand, I wish it could get just a touch darker for night viewing. The colors on the screen are striking and vibrant, not retina vibrant but really good and the screen can be turned up super bright. The screen does not provide touch support. I like the wider screen, it makes the screen feel bigger than its 14.1 inches. The aspect ratio is 16:9, which is new for me because all my other laptops have had a 16:10 aspect ratio. The screen has what I will call a soft matte finish. Also, the screen bezel is nice and thin, optimizing the maximum amount of screen area. The screen hinge feels smooth and solid, and it looks descent too. At this point I have not tried any of the other ports, but I did order a USB-C charger with a magnetic break cable to prevent my laptop from taking flight if someone trips on the cord. The power button, although recessed on the side and very slim, is easy to find by feel without having to tilt the laptop to see it. I am not a fan of sloppy feeling ports, to me they make a device seem cheap. The two USB 3.0 ports provide a nice snug fit for cables, which is something I appreciate. I’m not joking, I love the cloth that it comes with and I hope I don’t lose mine. If you’re like me and dislike excessive smudging, then you’re in luck System76 includes a really nice cloth that does an excellent job of cleaning things up. The case is mostly smudge resistant, but after use you will definitely notice some smudging on the outside surfaces, as well as on the keyboard, trackpad and palm rest areas. Although it’s probably a coincidence, I think it’s kind of cool and plays nicely into the whole System76 Marv3n space theme. It’s a nice shade of black in a matte/mattish finish and in just the right sunlight you can see some very, very, tiny silver speckles, but with indoor lighting they are impossible to see. The laptop’s case is made from some type of aluminum. It’s light! I travel often for work, and I am always happy to shave off carry weight wherever I can. I had read that the Lemur is 2.2 pounds, but I did not really appreciate that fact until after I held it in my hand. It’s lighter by several ounces than my Surface Pro 6, and that’s with the Typecover attached. The thing I immediately noticed when I picked up the new Lemur Pro is that it is amazingly light. I’ll try to cover the topics that a laptop shopper might be interested in reading about. These are my impressions in the first 24 hours. I just received mine with an i7 processor, dual 500GB nVME drives, Wifi 6, and 24 gigabytes of RAM. If you’re new here, System76 recently released a powerful ultra-thin, ultra-light 14.1” laptop. If you frequent this System76 sub-reddit, then by now you have heard about the new Lemur Pro. I feel compelled to try this again, incorporating the lessons we have learned, and perhaps it will be a win-win this time around! If we can make small tweaks and increase access to our neighbors who keep kosher while minimizing disruption to our operations, we should try. We want to pay our respects to the Jewish community whose foods we adore. Some customers would try to hoard the bagels by buying 2-3 dozen at a time and argue with us when we placed limits, and others would argue with us that they’re not “really kosher.” I don’t want to get caught in the middle of a tricky debate around a topic that I am really unqualified to discuss, nor do I want to be the object of the Internet’s fury about rationing bagels… so, disappointed with the monster I had created, I pulled the plug on kosher days.ĭespite all this, I have remained friendly with Rabbi Barry and supportive of his congregation, and I recently asked myself if this can of worms is worth re-opening. We stopped doing kosher days because it just wasn’t fun for me. We didn’t mind the prep, even though it was very exhausting because we take good care in respecting the rules and avoiding cross-contamination in a kitchen that sees a lot of bacon. In the past, going kosher for a single day required a week’s worth of coordinating, thorough training with the staff and several visits from the Rabbi (which we don’t mind because Barry is a super cool guy). If you’ve been following us for a while, you may know that we’ve worked with Rabbi Barry Dolinger from Congregation Beth Sholom (Providence) twice before to do kosher production runs. We’ve been quietly implementing processes and guidelines in our kitchen to make our bagels kosher-friendly, and we’re almost ready to launch officially! Order Cincinnati Comic Expo tickets today!
